In our house, decorating for Christmas is a layering process. Some things go up at the beginning of December, and then bits and pieces are added throughout the month. I like to have fresh greenery and flowers pretty much all the time in our house, but the cedar garland always goes up about a week before Christmas. I want to be sure it says green and fresh for the big day!
Our color scheme was very neutral this year, especially on the mantel. I love the green and cream and gold. I think my most favorite part of the mantel this year (besides the greenery!!) is the globe lights. They were a Target dollar bin find and I’m OBSESSED. In fact I just had my Mom scour the Target near her and she found me even more. Yay Mom!! The cream knit stockings and gold letters are more Target finds. Seriously, what would we all do without that store? And the blue and white ginger jars are year round pieces. I love to incorporate our everyday style into our Christmas decor as well.
With our fresh garland hung throughout the house we are truly ready for Christmas!
