In the past I’ve designed our own family Christmas cards, but this year I decided to go with Minted! I’ve previously used them for birth announcements and other stationery, and I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. I had already perused the options and picked some of my favorites…but I ended up going with this Painterly Pine design. The watercolor style greenery really drew me in, and I love the color scheme with navy, light blue and green. They were easy to order and arrived quickly!!
Minted also now offers and amazing (and free!!) service to address your cards to your recipients in a coordinating design. I reaaally wanted to do this, BUT I knew the contact list in my computer wasn’t quite up to date. Next year, for sure!!
So instead to address my holiday cards I used The Lettermate. For those of us who can’t seem to write in a straight line or make everything even (ahem, ME), this genius little tool really helps. Now I really wish I could do some awesome calligraphy, but alas I don’t think handwriting has ever been my strength. I love though that with this tool the addresses are spaced evenly, pleasing to the eye and clean looking. It’s great for not only holiday cards, but birthday cards, notes to friends and anything else you send snail mail!
With Minted, Lettermate and lots of Christmas music…sending out my holiday cards this year was easy and fun. And I think they’re pretty beautiful too 🙂
