Now that Emery is getting a little older, we’ve ventured out to the beach a few times….without Daddy! This was a BIG step for me. I was just getting the hang of taking three kids to the beach on my own, so throwing a newborn into the mix complicates things a bit! Here are some of the things I love to have for me at the beach…I’ll follow up soon with a post of baby/kid beach items as well!
1 – Sunglasses! Obviously squinting all day at the beach is no fun. Warby Parker may be known for their eyeglasses, but I love this new line mixed materials sunglasses line from Warby Parker. I mean…this gorgeous lapis color with gold rims?? Ahhh!!
2 – I’m all about the one pieces right now, and this off the shoulder ruffle one is a knock out!
3 – I can’t live without a hat at the beach! This is a nice floppy basic. Enough said!
4 – For a day at the beach I like something a little lighter on my face. This Beautycounter tinted moisturizer with SPF is the BEST.
5 – Sunscreen, sunscreen and more sunscreen! Every morning I put this one on my face and neck area. It’s thick but rubs in nicely and doesn’t make your face greasy!! I think we can all agree….that is KEY in a good sunscreen. And then I use this stick for me and my kiddos at the beach. They are so much happier (and patient) when I use a stick on their face instead of a lotion. And I’m happy knowing they are protected without using any of the yucky stuff.
6 – We inevitably have more then one bag with us at the beach, but I love to have one for just my stuff and Emmy’s. That means no sand toys allowed! Then I know things like diapers and my lipgloss will stay as sand free as possible. This one is just so cute and comes in both cream and blue and white!
7 – I have been living in these sandals! Super comfy and a step up from flip flops. Plus they are only $16!!
Hope you like my favorites! These and about 50 things for the kiddos come to the beach with me, haha. But I’m just proud of us for making it there on our own! We are blessed to live so close to the ocean and I don’t want to miss out on enjoying it with my kiddos.
