My kiddos start back to school TOMORROW!! I’m still having a bit of a hard time letting summer go, the free for all pool and beach days have been preetttty nice….but I think we’re all craving a little more routine and schedule. And while I know there will still be hot days ahead, there have also been some cooler mornings and evenings and I can feel that crisp in the air! It’s got me planning my kiddos wardrobes for the upcoming months and I wanted to share some things we’ve bought or have on our list!
Amelia and Charlotte are very close in size (Amelia is just a little bit taller), so I’ve been able to have one wardrobe for them to share. It just makes things so much easier! If I really love a certain piece then I’ll buy two of the same item, especially in shoes! They love to match which I happen to think is adorable, and I’ll encourage it for as long as possible!
I absolutely adore this Zara coat for both of them. Even though we live in Southern California where we don’t see a lot of cold weather…we do have travel plans where a coat is a must. Plus my kiddos have adapted so well to SoCal life that they think our cool nights are actually freezing, ha! They aren’t crazy about sneakers but these are super cute and durable enough for the playground. And these rainboots make a nice alternative to the more pricey ones!! Both are from the Cat & Jack line at Target, such cute styles in this collection for amazing prices. Cute t-shirts, jeans and lots of dresses really make up their fall wardrobes. Above are my favorites for this season!
And now for the boys…or one boy as it is in our family!
Owen is easy. Really all he wants to wear is athletic gear. He would wear Nike and Under Armor all day every day if I let him! Luckily there are some pretty stylish pieces from those brands! But I do try and get him to wear ‘real clothes’ at least a couple times a week!
Basketball is hands down my little man’s favorite sport, so this t-shirt and these shorts are right up his alley. Gap jeans in the slim or skinny fit are our go-to style for him when he has to actually wear pants. And every year I get him some sort of navy quilted jacket. I’m not sure I’ve meant to, but looking back that’s what he’s always worn! I think it’s just such a classic look for a little boy.
Are you mama’s out there ready for back to school and fall weather?
