One of our most favorite things to do on the weekend is to wake up and head straight for the beach. It’s not crowded, it’s cool and often a little foggy, and the kids can run and play in the fresh salty air. Sometimes we stop for donuts first! It’s a pretty good way to start the day!!
Since having Emmy we’ve been figuring out the best way to bring her along on these walks. We absolutely love our Solly Baby Wrap, but for longer outings I wanted to test out something a little more substantial. This time I brought along the LilleBaby carrier.
At 5 months old, Emery is getting more and more curious. She loves to look around and take in her surroundings. And she always loves to see her brother and sisters. They are always making goofy faces at her to make her laugh! It’s the best sound!! In the LilleBaby carrier she is still at the age where she faces inward, but I love that she could still look around, see the ocean and her family, and everyone could reach her to give kisses!
It was such a gorgeous morning at the beach. A little overcast but not too much, and that blue water just shined through. We’ve lived here two hears now and EVERY TIME we come to the beach I’m so thankful to be so close. It really is awe-inspiring and puts a lot of things into perspective. We’re just tiny little blips on this big beautiful planet. I love that my kiddos get to grow up with the ocean as part of their regular life. It is a blessing for them and for me.
We walked a fair distance and Emmy and I both stayed comfy! She’s growing so fast and no small peanut anymore (queue the Mama tears), but thankfully the LillyBaby provides a lot of support so my back or shoulders didn’t hurt by the end of our walk.
And you can see in this last pic that sweet Emmy decided the beach was a great place for a nap! When she started to get tired I brought the flap up so her head was tucked against my chest. She was super cozy and slept for the rest of our walk. There’s also a cover tucked into a pocket in the front that can be pulled all the way over….I didn’t use it this time, but I can see that it will be super useful to protect her from the sun or cold.
If you’d like to find out more about the LilleBaby carrier I encourage you to check out their website! I think their comparison chart on the carrier options is so helpful in deciding which one is right for you and your baby. We have the organic carrier in blushing pink that can be found here.
I can’t wait to get back to the beach again this weekend….this time we’ll bring donuts for sure!!
