We feel so incredibly lucky to have landed in the neighborhood we did when we moved to SoCal. Our neighbors have quickly become good friends so we knew we wanted to do something special for holiday gifts this year! I love homemade gifts, but I also knew for it to be realistic they needed to be gifts that I could make relatively quickly. These scones, my friends, qualify as both…special and easy!! So if you’re looking for something quick to take to your neighbors, or planning ahead for a hostess gift on NYE, keep reading…
I’m so excited to share this recipe with all of you! My go-to sugar cookie recipe! First off, it’s delicious! And second, it can be used in so many ways. Cut into simple circles and dust with sanding sugar or go elaborate and decorate with royal icing. Or shown here…a simple powdered sugar glaze with Christmas sprinkles.
This is my absolute favorite way to make our house smell like the holidays. Keep a pot simmering on your stove and your whole house will smell like Christmas! Just add water when it gets low. I usually keep the same batch for a day or two.
The tradition of making a homemade gingerbread house goes WAAAAY back in my family. I’ve done one every year since I was a child, and so when Owen was born I knew I would have to step up and learn how to do it myself. With lots of of help and advice from my Mom, plus a few new twists of my own, our gingerbread house tradition was born.
We’re just a day away from Dec 1st, so let the countdown to Christmas begin! One of my most absolute favorite holiday tradition is Christmas cards! Designing ours, sending them out, and most of all receiving ones from family and friends!
Can you believe Thanksgiving is less then 2 weeks away? We say it every year, but this season really does fly by quickly. Thanksgiving truly is one of my favorites though. All of the focus is on family, pure and simple, gathered around a table to eat, laugh and just share time. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite inspiration pics for a beautiful Thanksgiving table. I’m loving all of the neutral colors, natural elements and loads of fresh greenery!
