This budget friendly table lamp from Amazon had to get it’s own blog post. In my opinion it’s just that good! Having beautiful lighting in your home can really make a world of difference – I’ve heard it referred to as the “jewelry” of a house – and this beauty is the perfect jewelry for our family room. I absolutely love the green color we have (it’s called rural green) – but this style lamp comes in a lot of colors. It’s a great size, plus feels heavy and substantial (cheap lamps are usually too short, too small and too lightweight in my opinion!!) There’s just one trick that you MUST do – replace the included lampshade with this elevated fluted lampshade instead (also available on Amazon). Trust me, it makes such an impact and elevates the look. These lamps work well on side tables, console tables, dressers and a pair would work beautifully on nightstands!

A couple tips when shopping for a new lamp in general…

• Measure! With any lamp you purchase make sure you check the height and diameter. The base has to fit whatever surface you’re putting it on – and the height needs to be proportionate as well. This lamp measures 28″ tall and 7″ wide at the smallest base.
• Think about swapping out the shade on a budget friendly lamp. Often it’s an easy swap to make the lamp look more elevated. Just be sure to measure to get the correct lampshade size. Here’s a great resource for measuring for your lampshade.
