WEARING
I have been wearing these A. Soliani flats nonstop lately. I love their classic cap toe ballet style and the fact that the go with everything! Right now I only own the honey and black color (decided on a timeless neutral for my first pair) – but gosh I have my eye on quite a few more. They come in a large variety of colors. This denim blue and black is next on my list! I also love this beautiful ivory color. They do take a few wears to break in…but that is because they are a beautiful Italian leather! Also something to note, A. Soliani recommends adding toe caps to their shoes. I didn’t have much luck finding a good cobbler locally, but I did add these adhesive shoe protectors to the bottom and they seem to be doing their job. I’m going to watch them closely just to be sure!
COOKING
I’ve made my favorite foccacia recipe a few times in the last month and it’s just so good. The recipe makes 2 round loaves – while I used to be able to serve one and freeze the other – my growing kids now eat a loaf and a half! The remaining leftovers make excellent toast with eggs for breakfast the next morning.
HOSTING
Our sweet Emery recently turned 7! We had a few of her friends over this past weekend to celebrate – pizza, a pinata, a scavenger hunt and ice cream sundaes. What is better? I love a simple, fun and laughter filled party. I kept the table easy but added some darling paper placemats from one of my favorite party sources – Hester and Cook. The spring theme was perfect for our bunny-loving girl.
