Currently Smitten: a monthly roundup of things catching my eye, inspiring me and classics I’ve loved forever.

Our surroundings in Nashville have turned all shades of green – from a pretty light limelight hydrangea, to the deepest of green trees – we are living in a green paradise. Like always, nature has inspired my home, style and entertaining choices. The kids are out at the end of this month for summer and I’m beginning to anticipate the arrival of slower mornings, and days at the pool, and some travel sprinkled in here and there.

Frank & Eileen Charlotte Polo: I’m seeing classic polos make a come back and I’m here for it….this one is little on the pricey side but I’ve decided I’m in my mid-forties now and I deserve it. Good reasoning right? It’s so classic and I love the potential of a popped collar. Also really eager to try it with these jeans.

Striped Ruffle Pillows – an Etsy find: I’m into ruffles lately. And I’m also into pillows. Hence the perfect combination and I think they would look so lovely paired with my favorite floral pillows.

Tortoise Shell Flip Flops: You can take the girl out of California, but you can’t take the flip flops out of the girl. JCrew Factory and Target always have my favorites. These three are on repeat – tortoise shell, classic camel, and a beautiful cream color. All under $20.

Summer Friday Mini Jet Lag Mask: Between family trips, volleyball tournaments and basketball tournaments, our family has been on the go a lot lately. I love this mask and the mini size gets me through airport security.

Straw Coasters: I have marble countertops so I need coasters and lots of them. These beauties are perfect for summer and a set of 4 is only $30.

Other items include: a scallop mirror in the perfect green, the new Julia Amory perfume that I’m dying to try, a set of fun glassware from Amazon, a scented geranium live topiary, cabbage nesting bowls, and my favorite must-have lip mask for nighttime.
