Easy Belgian Waffle Recipe

This easy Belgian Waffle recipe is one of my go-tos for a weekend family breakfast! It’s a simple, one bowl recipe that uses just basic ingredients. No whipping egg whites or anything fancy! I love to double the recipe and freeze any leftovers, they toast wonderfully for an easy fast breakfast!

EASY BELGIAN WAFFLES

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat your waffle maker. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Make a little well in the center of the dry ingredients. Combine eggs, milk, butter and vanilla is a large measuring cup and whisk to combine. Pour wet ingredients in the the center well of the dry ingredients and stir to combine. be sure not to overmix.

Grease your waffle maker with butter (or spray with cooking spray). I use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to scoop batter into each section and then cook until golden and crispy. Our waffle iron beeps when it’s ready! We love to serve them with maple syrup and berries!

Place any leftover waffles in a large ziploc to freeze!
