I’ve been getting more and more questions about my go-to online home sources for home decor, so I thought this new series might be helpful! A couple times a month I’ll post some favorite home items that are catching my eye and share how I’d use them in my own home. Sometimes they’ll be bigger ticket items, but sometimes a simple small vase or candle can make such an impact in your home.
Here are my picks for the first in this new series, hope you love them! And if you decide to get any of them for your own home, please share with me! Email or DM me a picture, or share on Instagram with the hashtag #prettysmittenhomefind. It’s always fun to see how different everyone can use the same decor piece and I think can provide inspiration for all of us!
– Cake Stand – I love the unique lip on this cake stand and the slightly rustic feel. I see it piled high with fruit and scones for a Sunday brunch. And when not in use, it sure would look pretty sitting on a counter or shelf.
– Mirror – I’m dreaming of re-doing our girls bathroom (it’s in desperate need) and oh how I would love to use two of these mirrors! I’ve always been drawn to the bone inlay style and this pretty soft blue would be so perfect in a girls bedroom or bathroom.
– Small serving bowl – the detailing on this stoneware bowl is just gorgeous. I love the deep charcoal color. A few would look so pretty stacked on an open shelf. And if the larger size serving bowl ever comes back in stock it would be so perfect for bread making!
– Floral Marble Dish – I just hit purchase on this sweet little marble dish and I already know it will likely live in multiple locations in my house. It’s one of those things that will look so good in multiple spots! I see it on my entry console on top of a few books, or on my nightstand holding a pair of earrings. I looooove the scallop shape.
– Jamille Pillow Cover – a beautiful neutral that will seamlessly blend into any pillow combo but also add interest with the tribal inspired embroidery detail.
– Room Spray – I love to layer scents in a room by using both candles and room sprays. This spray recently caught my eye and both the sea salt eucalyptus and lavender cashmere scents are calling my name!
– Earthy Textured Pot – This one is a must buy in my opinion….I have it and it’s so versatile, and at a great price!! I love the subtle teal/blue color and it’s beautiful texture. It’s great for holding either a small. potted plant or flowers, or leaving empty! I love it styled on open shelving or on a coffee table with flowers. Quick tip…add the flowers to a mason jar or small cup first, and then add the arrangement to the pot. You won’t need as many flowers to fill the wide opening!
– Faux olive tree – alright this one is a splurge, but if you’re in the market for a faux olive tree then I think this is your one!! Olive trees are my favorite tree to use in the house. Live ones can be finicky though, and they aren’t cheap either! And as much as I LOVE fresh flowers and greenery in my home, I tend to stick to faux trees. They are such an investment and can be tough to keep alive indoors. Faux trees (that are GOOD) achieve the look without the headache. I’ve had a hard time sourcing faux olive trees but leave it to McGee & Co to find a good one. Shea did an instastory showing this faux next to her real olive, and it looked so realistic!
– Raw Terracotta Pot – because if you’re going to splurge on that beautiful olive tree, it needs an equally amazing pot to live in. I’ve also got my eye on these for by our front door!
– Floral Pillow Cover – I’m not sure any floral pillow can top my absolute favorite one….but this new pillow from McGee could be close.
