Emmy’s Nursery

This is one of the posts that I’ve been trying to get back up on the blog since my site crash last year! Thank you to everyone for your patience…details on sweet Emmy’s nursery are finally back up! Hope you enjoy….sources are listed below and always feel free to reach out with questions!

When we found out our last baby was a girl, I couldn’t wait to get designing her nursery. Honestly at first I thought I was going to go with a more modern vibe…but once I started putting the details together in a design board, I quickly realized it just didn’t feel right. I wanted something sweet and feminine for our little Emmy!

It really started with this beautiful linen bedding from the Etsy seller Cottage & Cabin. Debbie was so helpful and sent samples of her gorgeous linen so I could choose just the right pink. I didn’t want too candy or sweet of a pink, but more of a vintage blush. After seeing the samples I decided on Heirloom Pink. It’s even more beautiful in person! I had the bumper, crib skirt and bows for the curtains made in a custom order with Debbie.

I also knew I wanted to use another Jenny Lind crib. After using them with both of my older girls, it just felt right for Emmy to have one too. We have used this one all three times and love it! We’ve found it to be sturdy and safe for our babes, and you can’t beat the price!!

I absolutely love the rug! It really made the room so that it wasn’t too pink and too sweet. I also chose a chair that can really grow with her and our home. It doesn’t glide or rock, but honestly that doesn’t bother me at all! It’s comfy and made the perfect spot for late night feedings…especially with the addition of the pillow, pouf and a cozy blanket!

And it’s always all the details that really pull a space together. Funny story about those shelves….Emmy was born almost a month early and the shelves were still bare the morning I found out I needed to be induced. I left the doctor knowing I had one more day before our baby girl would arrive! My big kiddos were at school so I had about 3 hours. First, I got diapers, haha because I still didn’t have any!! Then I went through Home Goods and staring right at me was that beautiful floral canvas and the two blue frames. Those three pieces completely made the shelves and I took it as a sign. Even though it was early, we were ready and excited to meet our baby girl!!

I’ve listed as many details as I could about the nursery, but if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out!
