Getting Ready for the 4th

This will be our first 4th of July in our new house and I’m ready to deck everything out in red, white and blue! I’ll never turn down a blue and white floral, so these beautiful paper plates are a fun way to incorporate that pattern into our festivities. I just adore them paired with these star plates and the red striped napkins. I also added a fun touch to our front door wreath with this beautiful set of ribbons from House of Turnberry! Warning they sell out FAST, but they do release new styles weekly so it pays to get on their text list if you’re wanting to order a set!

Our 4th of July plans include on hitting up our community pool and BBQ’ing with friends. I’m going to keep the menu simple with burgers, hot dogs and plenty of salads. Since leaving CA we haven’t been able to get our In-N-Out fix (if you know you know), but I’ve been following this recipe and it’s actually really good!! I’m eyeing this platter to serve them on….it’s on Amazon and arrives in plenty of time for the 4th! Speaking of Amazon finds, I have this blue gingham tablecloth on it’s way to me! For a side dish, I always gravitate towards Barefoot Contessa’s Orzo with Roasted Veggies. It’s super flavorful and a filling vegetarian option! Finally keeping cold drinks on hand is a must for a hot 4th of July, and this rattan drink tub makes your hostess job even easier.

Happy 4th of July!
