This one has been in the works for a while, but it’s finally here…our custom rug for our family room was delivered recently and let me tell you, it was worth the wait! While I liked our old rug, it was too small for the space and didn’t hold up as well as I thought it would (I think a new puppy had something to do with that!!) I shared a few images on Instagram of our new rug and received a few questions about the style and how to get a custom rug made. I thought it might be helpful to corral all of the answers in one spot!
Why custom?
The size! The number one reason we went with a custom rug is because of the size. Our family room is big and I really wanted the rug to extend behind the couches and chairs. I think it makes the room so much more cozy! We ended up needing a 16×14′ rug to cover the area needed and unfortunately this is not a standard rug size.
Rug Details
The rug is by Fibreworks. The style is Savile Row in the color Jermyn Street. It can be seen online here. It is a 100% wool rug that is incredibly soft and cozy. We also have a premium rug pad underneath that makes it extra plush.
Where did you get it?
I purchased this rug from Myers Flooring in Nashville! They have a ton of options available for you to look at it, so if you’re local I definitely recommend heading over there to look! I worked with Judy and she was very helpful deciding on options, getting me samples, submitting the order and coordinating delivery once it was time. If you’re not local, I would recommend searching local flooring stores. You can google “fibreworks” and your location to find stores that may carry this specific brand!
Is it available online?
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find an online source for this exact style. To purchase on the Fibreworks website you need a dealer account. If you’re looking for this exact style I recommend calling local flooring stores. BUT….below I’m linking an awesome ONLINE custom rug source that has a lot of other beautiful options!
The Perfect Rug – an online option!!
This site has sooo many great options that can be ordered in large, custom sizes. They have some gorgeous wool options and they also have natural fiber and outdoor options as well. Custom sizing at borders can be added. I definitely recommend ordering lots of samples (you get 3 for free) before placing an order.
